What a relief!

Tax office backs down from claim.

Our client is a local gentleman, who had originally been impressed with our work in assisting him with the complex administration of his Aunt’s estate.

He mentioned that he himself had a problem with the tax office over his pension, as due to a technical error he had been paying too little tax going back over several years. H M Revenue and Customs had now realised their error and were pursuing him for over £13,000 in back taxes. He had endeavoured to deal with their demand himself but had hit a brick wall.

We offered to help using a little known concession involving ‘Revenue Delay’. Due to the sums involved this was registered at first but finally our persistence prevailed, and the tax demands were dropped leaving him better off by £13,000.
